About Poppy Natural

Hi, I'm Christle (pronounced "KRIS-tuhl," if you're wondering — most people guess wrong on the first try, and that's okay).

I started Poppy Natural because I kept noticing the same thing in my own home: too much stuff, not enough warmth. Shelves full of things I didn't remember buying, and none of them making the room feel like anywhere I wanted to sit down.

So I started over — slowly, one piece at a time. A candle that actually smelled like something. A curtain that filters the right kind of light in. A few things on the wall that meant something instead of just filling space.

That's the whole idea behind Poppy Natural: a slower kind of home. Not more — better. Pieces you actually notice, in a home that feels like it's yours.

What I'm doing here

I'm based in California City, CA and I've been doing this since early 2026.

I choose every piece in this shop with one question in mind: would I want this in my own home? That's it. Not "will this sell" — would I actually light this candle, actually hang this on my own wall. Some pieces are simple and inexpensive because a home doesn't need to be expensive to feel intentional. Others are a little more considered, because some rooms deserve one thing worth waiting for.

Why "Poppy"

In California there is a poppy season, the flower. California poppies grow in fields that attract visitors. I live near a poppy park, and a poppy might populate in my own yard. Every spring is a chance to see poppies and the name comes naturally. They are part of the beautiful landscape and offer a pop of color to the yard.
